Well, I guess we were wrong. After talking with 2 attorneys and being told by the second one, who specializes in agriculture law, that the boss is not liable for anything more than her $10,000 dollar injured worker policy, we are still going to get the surgery done. That is most important. We will use our insurance. Our insurance, we are told, does not cover physical therapy. The boss's policy can cover it. Whether she will or not, remains to be seen.
Thank goodness we have some kind of insurance. I know exactly how things would go for us without it. We went through that when I broke my foot in '05....not fun. Torture comes to mind!
I am so grateful for all the many folks who are praying for us. It means a lot.
I'll post more when I know more. Right now we wait....there is a lapse in coverage where our insurance is concerned. We will be covered again starting August 1st. I intend to have surgery rescheduled soon as possible.
